    This lecture will outline the concepts in the optimization of esthetic results on implants with a biological approach.
  • Lecture 2: Achieving Ultimate Aesthetics with Implants in the Aesthetic Zone: Lecture I by Dr. Tidu Mankoo

    This lecture will present the different techniques to enhance the aesthetic emergence profile of the implant site and the health of the peri-implant tissues.
  • Lecture 3: Achieving Ultimate Aesthetics with Implants in the Aesthetic Zone: Lecture II by Dr. Tidu Mankoo

    This lecture will deal with immediate implant cases, immediate tooth replacement and implant replacement into complex and compromised extraction sites with a view to optimising the aesthetic outcome.
  • Lecture 4: Zirconia Based Restorations for Esthetic Results and Longevity By Dr. Stefan Paul

    This lecture will discuss current aesthetic and technical aspects of using zirconia frameworks for tooth and implant retained all ceramic restorations.

    This course will discuss surgical and restorative concepts, procedures and solutions to improve the soft tissue emergence profile of implant and pontic sites in single implant restorations and implant bridges.   • Lecture 8: Natural Esthetic Design Smile Analysis by Dr. Dario Adolfi

    The understanding of natural tooth according to form, shade, surface texture, superficial gloss and how the fluorescence, opalescence and natural transmission of light is crucial for the ultimate quality of esthetic and natural result on both teeth and implants. This lecture will describe in detail how this optimal treatment can be performed, base on the advancement of CAD/CAM technology.

  • Lecture 9: Immediate Placement in Fresh Extraction Socket: State of the Art by Dr. Tiziano Testori

    This lecture will highlight the biologic and clinical evidence of immediate implant placement into extraction sockets. Research findings are presented in a clinical logical fashion and used to support clinical protocols to place implants successfully in patients with extraction sites.
  • Lecture 10: Anterior Implant Positioning for Ideal Abutment Design, Biology and Function & Abutment Materials and Design, Part I by Dr. Edward McLaren

    This lecture explores implant placement relative to esthetics, specifically the recommended thought process for the implantologist when determining implant position to achieve a proper abutment design for esthetics.
  • Lecture 11: Implant Interactions in Orthodontics by Dr. Frank Celenza

    Whereas the advent of successful and predictable implant dentistry has had a pronounced impact on the practice of restorative dentistry, the same might not be said for the effect implants have had upon the specialty of Orthodontics. However, this presenter feels strongly that a new era of Orthodontic involvement with implants is upon us, and will illustrate the fascinating ability of implants to facilitate tooth movement.
  • Lecture 12: Gingiva Colored Ceramics in Esthetic Implant Dentistry by Dr. Harel Simon

    The use of gingiva-colored ceramics has been suggested to address the esthetic needs in such patients. The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the importance of proper gingival architecture and demonstrate the use of gingiva-colored ceramics in esthetic implant dentistry.

Founder of gIDE: Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic

Sascha A. Jovanovic was formally trained in periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry, in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University and in Prosthodontics at University of Aachen, Germany and holds a Master of Sciences degree in Oral Biology from UCLA.

He restricts his clinical work to dental implant therapy and bone & soft tissue reconstruction, is Lecturer at UCLA Continuing Dental Education, is Professor (Hon.) at Univ. of British Columbia, Division of Periodontics and Implants, Vancouver, is Assoc. Prof. (Hon.) at the University of Hong Kong, Department of Oral Surgery and is Founder and Academic Chairman of the gIDE Institute.

He is the past-president of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) and a past-Board member of the Osseointegration Foundation (OF). He was the program chair of the EAO 2000 annual scientific congress, recipient of the young investigator fellowship of the American Academy of Periodontology, of the Implantology award of the California Society of Periodontists and of the German Implant Society Research award. He is an honorary member of the South African Society of Periodontology.

Dr. Jovanovic’s clinical research emphazises esthetic management in dental implant therapy and bone and soft tissue reconstruction techniques. His applied research focuses on bone regeneration with different bone graft materials, rhBMP-2 and barrier membranes as well as the biology of soft tissues around teeth and implants.

He lectures extensively worldwide and has published over 60 articles and book chapters, and one textbook titled Color Atlas of Implantology (Thieme Publ.). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the monthly publication ‘Implant Tribune’, is on several editorial boards for scientific journals and has published a DVD-education series ‘Advanced Implant Therapy’.
