Print This PostPulpdent has just come out with a new root canal cement, Forendo, that is non-setting. It has calcium hydroxide and iodoform which is important for killing off E. faecalis and other pathogenic bacteria that have been linked with root canal failure. The root canal cement is advertised for interim or permanent placement. What bothers me is that I do not understand how this can be used as a permanent root canal sealer when it does not set? I would be concerned about microleakage over time. Any thoughts?
