What are the clinical indications for 3D Bond Plus?
3D Bond Plus is indicated for Socket grafting procedures. It provides a predictable protocol for Socket grafting with 4 walls or Socket grafting with a missing buccal plate.
Can 3D Bond Plus be used as a composite graft?
Yes. 3D Bond Plus performs very well when combined with other graft materials like allograft or autograft.

What is the resorption time of 3D Bond Plus?
As it resorbs, a calcium phosphate lattice forms which serves as an excellent scaffold for new bone growth. Resorbs at a rate of approximately 1mm/week. Studies have shown complete resorption in about 2 to 3 months.
Do I need a membrane with 3D Bond Plus?
In most cases, no, you will not need a membrane with 3D Bond Plus. Given the properties of Calcium Sulfate,if properly applied, will not migrate out of the site. In fact, due to the stability, Calficum Sulfate grafts are not only approved as bone grafts, but also as barrier membranes. Please note, however, that Calcium Sulfate resorbs rather quickly. Specifically, it degrades completely in 8 to 12 weeks in vivo and releases stimuli for bone growth as it degrades.
How is this different than Biocal and Dentogen?
All of these products are medical grade calcium sulfate. 3D Bond Plus, when compared to Dentogen and Biocal, simply provides a better delivery mechanism for calcium sulfate. With 3D Bond Plus the calcium sulfate is delivered to the site via an all-in-one smart syringe, which greatly simplifies the grafting technique.

3D Bond+™ is a pure biphasic calcium sulfate that comes in all-in-one smart syringe. It is ideal for socket grafting procedures and provides 100% bone regeneration 3 months after the augmentation procedure.
- Syringe is pre-filled with calcium sulfate powder + saline.
- Fast Setting: The cement is mixed with saline in the syringe and injected into the augmented site from the syringe and after molding into the desire shape it sets immediately in the presence of blood and saliva.
- No membrane required: Calcifum sulfate enables soft tissue to proliferate above its surface. As such, it prevents soft tissue invagination into the grafted site. You can use Augma Shield wound dressing to protect your graft.
